Gareth Roblin

Gareth Roblin

Physiotherapist

I have been working with Richmond and Twickenham PCT for 2 and ½ years on a rotational post. This has allowed me to gain experience in different physiotherapy techniques to treat and manage various disorders ranging from respiratory conditions through to the ‘nuts and bolts’ of outpatient physiotherapy clinics. Prior to this I was working with the Kingston and Queen Mary Hospital trust where I gained an invaluable experience with the Douglas Bader Amputee team.

It was here that I learnt the benefits of early rehabilitation for the amputee client, especially the importance of general conditioning and strengthening. This along with gait re-education forms a large part of the management programme designed to promote a healthy functional lifestyle for amputee clients.

I look forward to working with the London Prosthetic centre, a progressive thinking and supportive team open to new ideas and developments which can only further the clients well being.
