Prosthetic Technician - LPC

We currently have a vacancy for a motivated team player to join our company as a Prosthetic Technician working within our prosthetic clinic at The London Prosthetic Centre. 

It would be desirable that the successful candidate will have worked in a similar role. We would, however, welcome a trainee into this position.  

Duties/ Responsibilities: 
In this role you will act in a professional manner with other members of staff in the Prosthetic department and ensure that all prostheses and associated products are manufactured on time and assembled to meet the safety procedures laid down by the Company and manufacturers. 

In addition, you will:
  • Manufacture all upper and lower limb prostheses and associated products as instructed and in accordance with the specification laid down by the prosthetist and component manufacturer.
  • Be committed and flexible in time and work overtime as and when required to meet the demand of the private clinic or as required.
  • Ensure that all limbs are ready for fitting and delivery within the contract dates used at your centre.
  • Assist Prosthetists with plaster of paris work as required.
  • Conform at all times with the Company’s Quality policy.
  • Ensure that all stock is correctly booked out to a relevant job sheet, promptly and legibly.
  • Reduce any materials wastage by good working practices.
  • Abide by the Company’s health and safety policy while working in the workshop, ensuring your own safety and that of your colleagues.
  • Identify any possible hazards to your manager immediately.
  • Ensure that you are up to date with new prosthetic components and manufacturing techniques.
  • Help train other members of staff in your area of expertise as required by your branch manager or workshop co-ordinator.
  • Ensure that all work undertaken is ready for delivery within the relevant timescales.
  • Collate delivery tickets, answer telephones and help out with the day to day running of the clinic.
  • Carry all work related to building maintenance within reasons as instructed by manager.
