Chloe Monroe
14 year old Chloe Monroe visited the LPC to create a bespoke high definition cosmesis. Chloe tragically lost left arm in a car accident in 2015. However, the beauty queen and high school dancer, has not been deterred. Speaking on WKRN TV in Nashville, Jennifer Munroe - Chloe’s mum says that Chloe’s positive attitude touched the hearts of her community so much so, that they held a fundraiser event to help with costs for a new prostheses. Chloe is re-learning how to write with her right hand and Jennifer says with a smile “some things are hard, harder than others, but I try to do everything that I can and sometimes I fail. I think the word that comes to mind is resilient. She has really shown great stride in being positive.”
The London Prosthetic Centre, are very proud to have helped Chloe with her body confidence through her new prosthesis. The clinic was chosen specifically by Chloe and her mum and the pair travelled from Tennessee to meet with Abdo and the team. Over the course of her visit a cast and colour match was created and then the socket was fitted the next day. Chloe shared her joy of the new socket that Abdo had made on how well it fit and most importantly how comfortable it was. The finished arm was shipped to Chloe and we look forward to seeing pictures of the fit.
“We received Chloe's arm today and she loves it!! The fit is perfect and she has not taken it off since we opened the package! Perfect timing too, Chloe starts school tomorrow and can't wait to show all her friends. Thank you once again!” Jennifer Monroe, Chloe’s mum.
